Live online tutoring for PK–5, from home anywhere in Texas
Live online PK–5 tutoring for Texas families. Reading, math, handwriting, and homeschool support with Texas certified teachers, from home.
Same Texas certified teachers. Same paced, caring sessions. Your child is at the kitchen table, not in the car.
If you are in Houston, Dallas, Austin, or a small town with no tutoring center nearby, this page is for you. We do not ask you to drive to Boerne.
How it works
What an online session actually looks like
- Live with a real teacher. Not a recorded video. Not a worksheet packet.
- Sessions run on a fun, kid-friendly platform built to keep young learners engaged.
- Individual or small-group. Same instruction model as the Boerne center.
- A parent can sit nearby for the first sessions. We will tell you what to have on the table — pencil, paper, a quiet-ish corner.
- 30 minutes ($35) or 1 hour ($70). Same prices as in person.

What we teach
Reading, math, handwriting, and homeschool — online
Reading
Alphabet knowledge, phonics, fluency, or comprehension. We find the skill that is actually missing. Our founder is LETRS-trained and a Dyslexia Coach on the team — structured reading support, not a diagnosis or cure.
Math
Number sense, place value, and problem-solving. We fill gaps instead of chasing tonight's homework.
Handwriting
Letter formation, spacing, and writing stamina with Learning Without Tears — including in live online sessions.
Homeschool
Daytime sessions matched to your curriculum. Homeschool Support.
Is this for your family?
If you have been worrying in the carpool line
- Your child is behind in reading and you cannot find a local tutor who knows phonics.
- School said "watch and wait" and that does not sit right.
- For ADHD: sessions are paced and personalized so your child can stay with the work. We do not treat ADHD — we promise a teacher who will not rush past your child.
- Homeschool days that need a specialist for one skill.
- Awarded TEFA families anywhere in Texas who want virtual sessions.

Common questions
Online tutoring FAQs
- Is online tutoring available anywhere in Texas?
- Yes. Live online sessions are for PK–5 families anywhere in Texas. You do not need to live near our Boerne center. If you are in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, or a town without a tutoring center, this is the page for you.
- How does a live online session work for a young child?
- Your child sits with a Texas certified teacher on a kid-friendly platform, in real time. We keep sessions short enough for little attention spans (30 minutes or an hour) and we will tell you what to set out before we start. A parent can stay nearby, especially the first few times.
- Can you help a child who is struggling with reading?
- Yes. We work on the skill that is actually missing — alphabet knowledge, phonics, fluency, or comprehension — not a stack of grade-level worksheets. Our founder, Ms. Alison, is a Texas certified EC–4 teacher, a Dyslexia Coach, and LETRS-trained. That means structured reading support. It does not mean we diagnose or cure dyslexia.
- Do you work with kids who have ADHD?
- Yes. Sessions are paced and personalized so a child can stay with the work. We do not treat ADHD. We promise a teacher who will not rush past your child.
- Can we use TEFA for online tutoring?
- Yes. Awarded Texas families can use TEFA vouchers for online tutoring anywhere in Texas, through the Odyssey marketplace. You do not pay us directly for TEFA sessions. Step-by-step is on our TEFA page. If you have not received an award yet, you cannot use TEFA funds until your account is funded.
- What is the difference between online and in-person?
- Same teachers, same prices, same subjects. Online is live from home anywhere in Texas. In person is at our Boerne center (28720 I-10 Suite 500) for families who can come in. Pick the one that fits your week.
- Do you offer online handwriting help?
- Yes. We use Learning Without Tears for letter formation, spacing, and writing stamina, including in live online sessions.
- Can homeschool families use online tutoring?
- Yes. We offer daytime sessions and match your child with a tutor who knows the curriculum you are already using. More on that on Homeschool Support. TEFA can cover this for awarded families; see TEFA.
